I have found that sometimes spending your marketing dollars to promote your company is like going to Vegas, a lot of hype in the beginning, but at the end of the day it was a waste of time because you are not a expert at gambling. Ever go to a trade show and your walking by booth after booth, the attendant at the booth is so bored to be there and is staring at you as you walk by? Of the hundred booths set up most will probably stop at maybe 4 or 5 of the cool ones, have some of the free lunch /refreshments, then POOF… they are gone. The person that set up the booth rented the space, table, table cloth, electricity, tons of printing costs and of course don’t forget the person that just sat there trying to look cute to attract a few people. Most marketing professionals will tell you to get hot chicks to stand at you booth in order to attract your future customers. Not only do you cut out 100% of the female market but now you also lost 100% of the guys that brought their wife. You have just lost a lot of future possibilities and now all you have is a lot of guys staring at the model that you paid to stand there not getting you your future customers.
Let’s go back to the “Cool Booths” that you stopped at. Those guys’s spent thousands of dollars to be one of the main attractions and have something going on that attracted attention regardless of the product that they are selling. They are promoting their product in a way that makes the person standing there thinks that they are cool. Now you are upset that you just spent 3 or 4 thousand dollars to be at an event so you can compete against the “Cool Guy” that has deep pockets to out market you. It’s not that they have a better product, you just didn’t spend your hard earned money as well as you could have.
If you took those same marketing dollars and rented one of our Party Trailers the following would probably happen. Your marketing possibilities are endless, because now you are the center of attention with everyone gathered around you. Your sales is now based purely on your product, not on how good looking your model is. Now you promote your company at any venue indoors or outdoors.
